Holiday Decorations at the Garden



Bromeliad Tree

The main part of the Bromeliad tree is made up of Neoregelia ‘Cookie’ which is primarily native to Southeastern Brazil. The tree is accented with other varieties of Neoregelias including ‘Green Apples’,’Malbec’,’Maria’, ‘Mendoza’, ‘Amazonas’, ‘Charisma’ and ‘Jeffrey Block’. Also displayed on the tree are Vriesea ‘Gigantea’ which is native to Mexico and Central and South America and Tillandsia ‘Oerstediana’.Tiollandsia is the most diverse group in the Bromeliad family and is native to USA, Mexico, Central America and north of Argentina. The

trees on each side of the Bromeliad tree are covered with Tillandsias and Neoregelia ‘Fireball’. The base of the Bromeliad tree is highlighted with Alcantarea “Odorata” and ‘Imperialis Malbec’. Alcantarea is one of the largest genera in the bromeliad family and also get very large in the landscape.
